About

This is the blog for the Critical Race Theory (CRT) work group (previously the 'Being White, Being Good' reading group). The group was originally set up to work through Barbara Applebaum's Being White, Being Good: White Moral Responsibility, and Social Justice Pedagogy (2010). We have now broadened our scope and are examining other work which looks at Critical Race Theory and Whiteness studies.

The group is organised jointly by Zara Bain (Bristol), Kristie Dotson (Michigan State University), Adam Ferner (Royal Institute of Philosophy), Judith Suissa (Institute of Education), Elianna Fetterolf (CUNY/Groningen), Rachelle Bascara (Birkbeck), Darren Chetty (Institute of Education), and Jonathan Nassim (Birkbeck).

The sessions take place, fortnightly, on Wednesdays lunchtimes – 12.30–2pm – from the 7th February 2018. You can attend them in the Institute of Education (details below) or online, in Google Hangouts.

To register, please email Adam at applebaumreading@gmail.com
